Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is essential for the students’ ability to cope with the educational process as well as the social one at school.
It's a fact that frequent absence has a very negative effect on the performance of students in class and exams.
Consequently, the school has a clear policy for attendance which must be followed.

Absence and Sickness :

a) If a student is absent due to sickness for more than two days, the parents must submit a medical certificate with the relevant dates of absence. Otherwise, the unexcused absence will result in taking off marks from the attendance marks and that’s according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education.
b) Absence for sports tournaments needs the official papers that include the date and location of the tournament.
c) Absence for any other reasons must be sought from the principal in advance.

Tardiness:

1) The attendance of the students is taken after 15 minutes from the beginning of the first period. The school gates will be closed by 9:15 at the KG school and 9:00 at the primary school.
2) Students who come later than that, more than once a week, will be exposed to suitable penalties.
